Again, working through Akimbo Creative Media, I was hired to shoot a short promo video for a local bicycle shop that specialised in mountain bikes. In addition to a variety of brightly coloured parts that made for visually appealing B-roll, it transpired that the owner of the shop was actually good friends with none other than the team at Weta workshop, the props, costume and special effects house behind Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. He had some great stories to share of the projects he’d seen in progress whilst over in New Zealand to go mountain biking with them.
